Our Research Methodologies

The PAIRADIME Project employs a robust combination of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research to explore health disparities affecting Black women. Our methodologies are designed to capture the complex interplay of biopsychosocial, cultural, and environmental factors that shape cardiometabolic outcomes.

Through in-depth interviews and focus groups, our qualitative research uncovers lived experiences of chronic stress, trauma, and cultural influences on health behaviors. These narratives provide essential context and reveal nuanced factors that cannot be captured by numbers alone.

Our quantitative approaches involve structured surveys, clinical assessments, and data analysis to identify patterns, measure the prevalence of risk factors, and evaluate the impact of peer and cultural influences on health. This data-driven foundation strengthens the reliability of our findings.

By integrating qualitative insights with quantitative data, our mixed-methods approach delivers a comprehensive view of the drivers behind health inequities. This enables the PAIRADIME Project to generate actionable knowledge that informs culturally responsive interventions and advances health equity for Black women.
